Salary: USD 160,000 - 220,000 / annual
AlphaSense is an AI-driven market intelligence platform trusted by over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500. The company recently acquired Tegus to expand its capabilities in AI-powered insights and content analysis.
You will lead the developer experience for the AlphaSense Agent API, owning the entire developer journey from first visit through authentication, integration, and production deployment. Your north star is time-to-first-call—enabling sophisticated enterprise engineers to authenticate, make a real call, and trust the results as quickly as possible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and improve every step of the developer onboarding experience, from initial discovery through successful integration
- Own the developer portal, reference documentation, quickstarts, tutorials, code samples, changelogs, SDKs, and client libraries
- Align the API with modern conventions and standards that enterprise teams already use for LLM and agent consumption, making AlphaSense integration feel native rather than bespoke
- Enable debugging of agentic workflows by designing structured responses, verbose logging, tracing, and clear error messages
- Eliminate onboarding friction around credentials, authentication, and testing to accelerate time-to-first-call
- Partner closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Education to maintain coherent developer experience as the API evolves
- Ground roadmap decisions in developer analytics, support signals, and direct conversations with engineers building on the API
As AlphaSense's developer platform expands, you'll have the opportunity to shape standards and experience across more products.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven expertise in developer products: you've owned public APIs, SDKs, or developer portals and understand developer workflows from the inside. Ideally, you've built for developers integrating your product into experiences for their own end users, not just tools developers use for themselves
- Technical hands-on capability and fluency in the modern AI developer ecosystem: you can read API documentation, authenticate, and make calls yourself. You understand how engineering teams integrate LLMs today and the conventions around SDKs, errors, and tooling. You're a strong thought partner for engineering on complex technical topics
- Treat documentation and onboarding as first-class products: you recognize that great quickstarts, working code samples, and clear error messages drive adoption more than marketing
- Experience operating in fast-scaling enterprise environments: you're energized by taking a working developer experience and making it genuinely great, creating standards others rely on
