Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprises like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The company is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and vision for Adyen's Data Developer Experience platform.
The Data, Machine Learning, and GenAI Platform sits within the Application Intelligence portfolio and serves as a critical internal developer platform. It currently supports 600+ active users including Data Engineers, Machine Learning Scientists, Applied AI Engineers, and Data Analysts. The platform enables these users to autonomously build, run, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable applications while leveraging 20 years of payments data.
In this role, you will:
- Own the strategy and vision for Data Developer Experience (DevEx), ensuring a scalable and intuitive experience across all user roles and journeys
- Define priorities that balance short-term operational needs with long-term platform transformation, consolidating fragmented tools into a cohesive ecosystem
- Shape and drive the platform roadmap to reduce friction and directly impact the velocity of Adyen's data and AI product delivery
- Partner with platform engineering teams to design developer experiences that prioritize autonomy and control while elevating accountability for system performance and output quality
- Identify emerging trends in the data domain to future-proof the roadmap and keep Adyen at the forefront of data developer productivity
- Assess needs of non-technical customers (product managers, second-line teams) and design capabilities enabling them to effectively interact with data products
This is an office-first role based in Amsterdam with a focus on in-person collaboration.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager with a track record of delivering outcomes in the data domain
- Strong foundational knowledge of data platforms, enabling effective collaboration with Data Engineers, Machine Learning Scientists, GenAI Engineers, and platform teams
- Ability to make strategic trade-offs, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term platform investments and competing stakeholder demands
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, capable of driving alignment across product, engineering, and operational stakeholders
- Data-driven approach, translating subjective user feedback and quantitative data into clear impact insights to inform decision-making
- Experience driving adoption of platform solutions and embedding them into developer workflows
- High degree of autonomy in leading initiatives and decision-making while remaining collaborative and contributing to a supportive culture
Bonus qualifications:
- Hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Machine Learning Scientist, or similar technical role
- Background in platform engineering or developer experience roles
- Prior experience in fintech or other high-reliability regulated industries
