Raisin is a fintech platform connecting consumers with banks across the EU, UK, and US to access better savings and investment rates. The company manages over 80 billion euros in assets for more than one million investors. The Customer Taxation Team ensures customers pay only the tax they owe and can easily manage their tax obligations. The team designs tax-advantaged products (such as the Raisin Cash ISA in the UK and Raisin Kinderdepot in Germany), calculates and withholds taxes on interest and returns, manages tax exemption orders, provides annual tax documents, and ensures regulatory compliance across multiple European markets with varying tax rules. As Senior Product Manager for Customer Taxation, you will own this regulated domain end-to-end. You will define the vision and roadmap for customer taxation, working closely with an experienced Engineering Lead to become the go-to expert in this area. Your responsibilities include: - Own the complete customer taxation experience: from discovery through delivery to measuring impact. Decide priorities and keep stakeholders aligned on risks and trade-offs. - Ensure tax accuracy and reliability by aligning with Legal, Compliance, and country managers on correctness standards, and working with Engineering to maintain stable, extensible calculations and reporting. - Grow Raisin's tax proposition by shaping how taxation works when entering new markets, launching tax-advantaged products, or onboarding new partners. Identify opportunities to reduce customer tax burden. - Translate complex tax rules into simple customer experiences, covering edge cases and designing intuitive self-service flows for tax exemption orders and non-assessment certificates. - Hit non-negotiable deadlines: ensure annual tax documents and statutory reports are accurate and timely, working with Product Operations to monitor data quality and plan backwards from fixed dates. - Catch errors before they reach customers and escalate early when dates are at risk. - Support Customer Service with tools and knowledge to answer tax questions quickly, especially during tax season. - Shape team culture through open feedback, celebrating wins, and treating mistakes as process-improvement opportunities. You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Country Management, Product Operations, Customer Service, Data teams, and external tax and banking partners. REQUIREMENTS Must haves: - 3+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a technical product (back-end, platform, or data-heavy service). - Experience leading cross-functional product teams and aligning engineers and stakeholders around shared priorities. - Experience launching new products or expanding into new markets, with precision to handle every edge case correctly (tax errors can affect thousands of customers). - Strong analytical skills and habit of personally checking and reconciling numbers. - Curiosity about tax and drive to make it feel easy for customers despite complex underlying rules. - Ability to learn quickly, accept feedback well, and change course when new information emerges. - Energy, strong work ethic, and hands-on approach to detailed work. - Clear, structured written English and confidence to explain trade-offs to senior leaders and decline requests with reasoning. Nice to haves: - Experience in regulated fields (banking, payments, insurance, tax technology). - Strong knowledge of tax regimes in Raisin's markets (e.g., Germany's Abgeltungsteuer, tax exemption orders) or statutory reporting such as CRS. Tax knowledge is not required; training will be provided. - Experience building tools for operations or customer service teams. Important attributes: - Bridge product and engineering: comfortable discussing data models and architecture trade-offs, pushing for practical, scalable solutions.
