Kpler is a global trade intelligence platform founded in 2014, serving over 850 experts across 69 countries. The company simplifies complex market data in commodities, energy, and maritime sectors, empowering organizations to make informed decisions. You will own the complete product strategy and roadmap for two interconnected products: Cruise Liners and Port Operations. This is a high-impact role combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution in an early-stage product environment. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap for both Cruise Liners and Port Operations, explicitly balancing customer needs against commercial opportunities and making trade-offs transparent. • Lead market discovery with cruise operators, port authorities, harbour masters, and terminal operators to gather requirements and translate customer needs into product priorities. • Drive delivery across both products with clear roadmaps, cadences, and launch plans, using a pragmatic approach focused on launching initial capabilities and iterating based on feedback. • Establish trusted data and benchmarking methodologies, including cruise itinerary intelligence based on live vessel movements and port call-cycle measurement with performance benchmarking. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Sales, Product Marketing, and other product teams to align delivery, reuse shared data and emissions capabilities, and develop early data and distribution partnerships. • Define the Cruise Liners product direction, delivering fleet itinerary intelligence based on observed vessel movements rather than published schedules. • Build the Port Operations product from concept, providing port authorities with a live view of vessel activity using Kpler's AIS receiver network and mapped port/berth data. • Develop product positioning and competitive strategy, differentiating Kpler's independent, first-party observed data from existing cruise analytics and port operations offerings. • Drive go-to-market execution for both products, working with Product Marketing on positioning, packaging, pricing, and launch planning, and establishing repeatable customer discovery and design partnerships. Requirements: • 6–10 years of senior product or commercial experience in maritime data, cruise, travel, ports, or adjacent B2B data/SaaS businesses, with proven track record of customer adoption. • Working fluency in at least one of cruise or port operations, with ability to develop expertise quickly in the other. • Direct experience in the cruise or ports industry with an established network among operators, port authorities, and terminals. • Experience translating customer needs into product strategy and working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver solutions. • Experience managing multiple products or workstreams simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and maintaining delivery momentum. • Strong product discovery and roadmap prioritization skills with ability to engage customers and translate market insights into actionable requirements. • Experience working with data and engineering teams to deliver data-driven products. • Understanding of go-to-market planning, including product positioning, packaging, and pricing input. • Familiarity with maritime and trade data concepts, including AIS, port calls, and voyage legs. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage technical and commercial teams and senior external stakeholders. • Self-directed approach with strong ownership, sound judgment, and pragmatic bias toward action. • Comfort working in ambiguous, early-stage environments with a build-and-iterate mindset. Nice to have: Experience launching new product lines or building products from concept to market; understanding of maritime regulatory environment (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, CII, green port incentive schemes); experience establishing customer design partnerships and building industry stakeholder relationships.
