Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual
Flock Safety is scaling an autonomous drone platform for public safety. As Senior Product Manager for Aviation Hardware, you will own the complete product roadmap for Flock's aviation hardware portfolio, balancing near-term customer needs, technical constraints, and long-term vision.
You will partner directly with Engineering, Test Pilots, and cross-functional teams (Operations, Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, Go-to-Market) to drive end-to-end product development across hardware subsystems, embedded software, wireless connectivity, and cloud interfaces. This role requires translating customer feedback, flight operational data, and evolving FAA/FCC regulations into concrete hardware requirements and technical strategy.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the aviation hardware roadmap, building technical fluency across platform architecture to evaluate tradeoffs, guiding engineering priorities, managing engineering backlogs, and running sprint planning cadences directly with teams. You will dive into technical architecture decisions and represent product strategy to stakeholders.
This is not a software-only, pure cloud, legal/compliance, or hands-off strategy role. You will manage physical hardware devices, embedded systems, and wireless communications while collaborating closely with engineering on scoping, execution, and roadmap planning.
You bring proven product management experience in complex technical environments where hardware, software, and operational systems intersect. You have demonstrated success partnering deeply with engineering teams on technical tradeoffs and roadmap planning. You can learn domain-specific regulatory constraints and integrate them into product strategy. Strong customer instinct and market judgment are essential. Familiarity with aviation, autonomous systems, robotics, drones, or similarly regulated hardware spaces is preferred but not required.
