LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, with over $100M in annual bookings. The company is expanding beyond lawn care into a one-stop shop for home services across three brands (LawnStarter, Lawn Love, Home Gnome) on a shared platform.
You'll join one of three strategic swim lanes—New Customer Acquisition, Deliver Service, or AI & Operating Excellence—owning a specific, high-stakes problem from day one. These are small teams where your work shows up in the roadmap immediately with minimal organizational layers between your judgment and what ships.
Key responsibilities include: defining and solving ambiguous, multi-layered problems; owning a specific business metric (conversion, retention, Pro supply, or cost-to-serve) you're accountable for moving; driving a dedicated engineering/design pod from problem to shipped outcome; and using AI daily in your workflow to compress timelines.
The role is strategic and hands-on simultaneously. You'll think about where the business needs to go, then go deep on customers, service providers (Pros), or technology to get there. AI is embedded in how work gets done here—you'll use the company's internal AI system (Brain) daily to query live metrics, draft PRDs, search codebases, and extract signal from qualitative data.
Key problems to solve include: delighting customers at scale while maintaining service quality and pricing competitiveness; keeping Pros happy and growing with strong earnings and reduced friction; acquiring customers the right way without overpromising and burning Pro relationships; and building AI-powered experiences that customers and Pros genuinely notice and value.
Success in year one means ruthlessly prioritizing the roadmap based on real leverage, moving measurable metrics, creating genuinely better product experiences, and earning trust across engineering, design, data, and partner teams.
