The Statsig team, one of Amplitude's fastest-growing initiatives, is redefining how companies learn, iterate, and ship better digital experiences through experimentation and feature management.
As a Senior Product Engineer on Statsig, you'll operate as an owner shaping both product and technical direction of a system used by sophisticated product teams worldwide. This is not a ticket-driven role—you'll drive product direction in partnership with design and product leaders while building across the full stack.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own critical product surfaces end-to-end from ideation through production and beyond
- Drive product direction in partnership with design and product leadership
- Build and evolve systems across React, Node.js, and Python that scale with customer growth
- Leverage modern AI tooling to accelerate development, prototyping, and iteration cycles
- Raise the bar for engineering quality across code, architecture, and user experience
- Lead by example through hands-on development, technical mentorship, and thoughtful decision-making
- Move fast on ambiguous problems, turning ideas into shipped customer-facing value
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
- Proven experience operating at senior-level scope, leading large ambiguous initiatives with significant business impact
- Strong full-stack expertise (React + backend systems like Node.js and/or Python)
- Deep sense of ownership and ability to create direction without waiting for guidance
- Exceptional product taste with care for UX, details, and building loved products
- AI-native mindset with active use and experimentation of latest AI tools
- Ability to balance speed and quality in high-velocity environments
- Strong judgment in technical trade-offs and system design
Ideal candidates think like product builders first and engineers second, are energized by open-ended problems, hold high bars for team and product quality, and turn ambiguity into clarity and momentum.
