Fin is an AI Customer Agent company building the highest-performing AI customer support solution on the market. The platform enables businesses to deliver impeccable, always-on customer support across service, sales, and ecommerce channels, powered by proprietary AI models. Founded in 2011, Fin is one of the largest private software companies globally with nearly 30,000 businesses using its products. As a Senior Product Engineer at Fin, you will solve real customer problems through smart application of technical expertise within multidisciplinary product teams. You'll work alongside designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to build both backend and frontend systems. The role involves tackling exciting scaling challenges across areas including messenger composer, rule matching, deliverability, security, app availability, and machine learning. Key responsibilities include developing technical plans and contributing to technical architecture as the platform scales to serve tens of millions of users daily. You'll write Ruby code that integrates AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies forming Fin's core backend. The environment emphasizes rapid iteration—shipping changes to production on day one and features within the first week, with approximately 100 deployments per weekday. You'll mentor other engineers, conduct interviews, and help build and grow the team. Required qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building SaaS products, with demonstrated significant impact on product and team. Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.) is essential, though language-specific expertise is learnable. You need proven experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers, delivering customer value, and working on distributed systems. The ideal candidate is a pragmatist who thrives in cross-disciplinary environments and can balance technical excellence with shipping velocity.
