As a Senior Product Engineer at Fin, you will be a core member of a multidisciplinary product team solving real customer problems through smart application of technical expertise. You'll work alongside designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to build both backend and frontend systems that power the Fin platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing technical plans and contributing to architectural decisions as the platform scales to serve tens of millions of users daily
- Writing Ruby code that integrates AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies forming Fin's backend
- Shipping production changes on day one and features within the first week, with 100+ deployments per weekday
- Mentoring other engineers and participating in hiring to grow team capacity
- Working on scaling challenges across areas like messenger composer, rule matching, deliverability, security, app availability, and machine learning
You'll have 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building SaaS products, with demonstrated significant impact on product and team outcomes. Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.) is required, though the company values pragmatists who learn quickly. Experience with distributed systems, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering customer value is essential. The role emphasizes working with best-in-class developer tools and solving meaningful technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
