Develop Health is automating complex healthcare processes—benefit verification, prior authorization—using AI to accelerate medication access. The company has achieved 10x revenue growth in under 2 years, now serving 400,000+ new patients monthly and partnering with major pharmacy benefit managers and payers. As Senior Product Engineer, you'll own full-stack product development end-to-end: problem definition, implementation, launch, and production validation. You'll build Python services and APIs, TypeScript/React interfaces, integrations, and AI-powered workflows. You'll work directly with Product, AI, and Operations teams, and with end users. In your first 3–6 months, you'll collaborate with users and stakeholders to define meaningful problems and smallest viable solutions. You'll ship full-stack features across backend services, UIs, data models, integrations, and workflow infrastructure. You'll integrate AI capabilities where they improve workflows while maintaining the reliability and fallbacks required for production healthcare software. You'll make pragmatic trade-offs, build testing and observability into your work, and iterate until features produce intended outcomes. Beyond 6 months, you'll own major product surfaces and the customer or operational outcomes they support. You'll shape product direction using customer evidence, operational data, and technical constraints. You'll scale architecture and APIs as products, integrations, and transaction volume grow. You'll mentor other engineers and raise the team's bar for product shaping and engineering quality. You bring at least 3 years of production full-stack experience building software real users depend on. You're strong in Python and modern typed frontend stacks, ramping quickly on TypeScript and React. You're excited by ambiguous problems, user collaboration, and end-to-end ownership. You care about both workflow clarity and technical soundness. You use coding agents to investigate and build, verifying their output rather than delegating judgment. You communicate clearly with engineers, product partners, operators, and customers. Bonus experience includes AI-powered or automation-heavy products in production, healthcare domain knowledge (EHRs, payers, pharmacies, regulated workflows), early-stage startup experience, and workflow or data-heavy interface building.
