Badoo is one of the world's largest dating apps, connecting millions of people globally. The company is in the midst of modernizing its product experience, sharpening how it helps members find real connections, and building a healthier, more sustainable business.
As a Senior Product Designer on Badoo, you will take end-to-end ownership of meaningful product surfaces including onboarding, people discovery, chatting, and monetization experiences. You'll design for a global, diverse, and value-conscious membership base, balancing high-craft product design with real-world constraints in a lean, fast-moving team with an experiment-led culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end design for multiple Badoo surfaces, leading work from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, visual polish, and delivery
- Design monetization experiences (paywalls, consumables, subscription flows) that balance member value with commercial impact
- Work in an experiment-led way, designing for A/B testing with clear hypotheses and staying close to results
- Contribute to modernizing Badoo's design foundations and design system
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX researchers, data scientists, and engineers to frame problems and validate hypotheses
- Ship pragmatically within a lean team, prioritizing member and business outcomes and making trade-offs explicit
- Design for a global, inclusive audience across many markets, languages, and devices
- Apply AI-powered tools and methods to accelerate exploration and improve accessibility
- Give and receive design critique with precision while elevating craft standards
- Model Bumble's core competencies: collaborate with purpose, take ownership, adapt with agility, and deliver from insight to impact
Requirements:
- Experienced end-to-end product designer with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences from ambiguity to release
- Strong product mind: frame problems before jumping to solutions, connect design decisions to user and business outcomes, think in systems
- Commercially fluent and comfortable designing monetization experiences that feel fair and well-crafted
- Thrive with constraints; pragmatic about scope and energized by working on mature products that need modernizing
- At home in experiment-driven environments: design for A/B tests, iterate on results, reason under uncertainty
- Strong visual and interaction design craft; work is polished, considered, and reflects deep understanding of digital experience
- Bring intentionality to process: rigorous problem framing, thoughtful transitions, purposeful and careful work
- Balance user empathy with commercial pragmatism; know when to push for ideal experience versus shipping well-reasoned version
- Fluent in Figma and modern prototyping tools; use them to think as well as communicate
- Grounded in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards; bring global mindset
- Curious about AI's role in product experiences; apply tools with ethical care and creative intention
- Take full ownership: drive things to conclusion, communicate proactively, build trust across disciplines
- Typically requires 5-8 years of experience, though candidates with alternative backgrounds demonstrating equivalent skills are welcome
