ShipIn Systems is an AI-powered visual fleet intelligence platform serving the maritime industry. As Senior Product Designer, you will own product flows end-to-end, from discovery through developer handoff. You'll design solutions for two distinct user groups: ship crews operating at sea and shore-based fleet managers. This role requires deep curiosity and a commitment to understanding user needs thoroughly, particularly in the complex maritime domain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning product flows end-to-end, from discovery to developer handoff
- Conducting deep dives into user processes and challenging assumptions
- Using AI tools to explore, prototype, and validate ideas quickly
- Presenting and explaining design decisions to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Collaborating closely with Product, R&D, and Customer Success teams
- Maintaining organized, scalable Figma files and design system documentation
You will work remotely and report directly to the Product Design lead. This role demands strong independent work habits, proactive communication, and the ability to manage your own time while keeping stakeholders informed.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex flow design
- Proven ability to work independently and remotely, including self-management, early blocker identification, and proactive stakeholder updates
- Excellent Figma skills and organized working methodology
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude experience is a plus)
- Strong English communication and presentation skills
- Critical thinking mindset with openness to feedback and learning orientation
- Advantageous: B2B, SaaS, or data-heavy product experience
