Innovaccer builds AI agents for healthcare that automate administrative work, enabling care teams to focus on patient care. As Senior Manager of Product Design, you will lead a team of designers building autonomous experiences for healthcare providers, payers, and government organizations.
Your responsibilities include:
**Build and Grow the Team**
Manage, coach, and develop product designers through regular feedback, clear goals, and career conversations. Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team health. Plan design capacity with product and engineering partners, making clear choices about priorities and ownership. Create a culture of trust, direct feedback, and accountability that helps designers grow their judgment and independence.
**Shape Product Direction**
Partner with product and engineering leaders to define problems, shape roadmaps, and agree on success measures across your product areas. Use customer research, product data, and domain knowledge to challenge assumptions and guide decisions. Bring coherence to data-dense clinical and operational workflows, including permissions, exceptions, and dependencies across products. Favor small, testable releases and measure usability, adoption, and task success to improve experiences after launch.
**Raise the Craft Bar**
Lead specific, actionable critiques across interaction design, information architecture, visual design, accessibility, and content. Stay hands-on when it helps the team move forward: pair on difficult problems, explore alternatives, and build prototypes. Partner with engineering throughout implementation to protect quality, resolve tradeoffs, and address edge cases. Strengthen shared components and patterns across Figma and code, helping teams reuse and contribute to the design system.
**Evolve How We Design with AI**
Use AI tools such as Claude to explore ideas, prototype workflows, and shorten feedback loops. Guide AI-assisted experiences that make system behavior clear, support human review, and handle uncertainty, errors, and recovery. Stay close to model capabilities and constraints, testing real behavior with engineering. Keep design reviews, documentation, and collaboration useful and lightweight as tools and ways of working evolve.
Innovaccer's product team designs AI-native solutions for healthcare, creating agentic workflows that automate complex clinical and operational processes, intelligent systems that replace manual work at scale, and data infrastructure that makes it all possible. The company has deployed solutions across more than 1,600 hospitals and clinics in the US, enabling care delivery transformation for over 96,000 clinicians.
**Requirements**
- 8+ years in product design, including 3+ years directly managing designers, with evidence of helping people grow and perform
- A portfolio showing complex products shipped, your leadership contribution, and the customer or business outcomes achieved
- Strong product judgment, taste, and care for detail; ability to explain what needs to improve and help a team get there
- Experience shaping priorities with product and engineering leaders and making clear tradeoffs in ambiguous environments
- Systems thinking and experience building coherent experiences across products
- Practical use of AI in your design workflow and comfort with Figma, interactive prototypes, and technical conversations with engineers
- Clear communication and ability to influence across teams, resolve disagreements, and connect design decisions to user needs
**Nice to Have**
- Experience designing for healthcare, regulated, or other complex enterprise products
- Experience shipping AI-assisted or agentic experiences
- Ability to prototype, with or without AI assistance
- Experience improving design-system adoption, team workflows, and collaboration
