B-Stock Solutions, the world's largest B2B re-commerce platform, is hiring its first dedicated Procurement Specialist to own vendor management and procurement strategy across the company. You will manage the full lifecycle of software renewals and indirect services contracts, leading commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and scope. Your responsibilities include:
• Own and manage the renewal calendar for all SaaS and indirect vendors, initiating material renewals 90+ days in advance with usage reviews, competitive benchmarking, and negotiation strategies.
• Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations on price, seat/tier right-sizing, multi-year terms, price-increase caps, payment terms, auto-renewal clauses, and termination rights. Serve as the firm commercial voice so business teams can maintain collaborative vendor relationships.
• Build and deploy a procurement playbook in partnership with Finance and Legal, including intake processes, approval matrices, signing authority frameworks, category-specific negotiation guides, standard terms, and redline fallbacks.
• Develop a business-case framework and templates (covering cost, usage, ROI, tool overlap, and exit paths) that teams use before requesting new spend. Ensure approved cases are implemented and measured for impact.
• Maintain a centralized vendor spend database tracking contracts, owners, renewal dates, and savings. Report cost avoidance and savings to leadership using consistent methodology.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate contract review, benchmarking, and spend analysis, building toward a more automated procurement function over time.
You will report to the VP of Strategy & Business Operations and collaborate closely with Finance, Engineering, Legal, Accounts Payable, and all business teams.
B-Stock is a venture-backed marketplace connecting retailers and resellers with returned, trade-in, and overstock inventory. The company processes over 130 million items annually and is backed by investors including Spectrum Equity, True Ventures, and Susquehanna Growth Equity.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or a finance/operations role where you personally negotiated software and services contracts.
• Demonstrated track record of measurable savings with specific examples of renewals you negotiated down and the methods used.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills: ability to model total cost of ownership, analyze usage data, compare pricing structures, and build business cases in spreadsheets.
• Experience building processes from scratch—intake workflows, approval matrices, playbooks, and templates—that other teams adopt and use.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools within analytical or operating workflows to build automations or multi-step processes, with comfort quickly adopting new AI capabilities.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
• Experience as a first or early procurement hire at a growth-stage or mid-size company.
• Familiarity with GTM and marketing tech stacks (CRM, sales engagement, marketing automation, data enrichment).
• Experience with procurement or spend-management tools (e.g., Vendr, Zip, Coupa, Ramp, Tropic).
