Form Energy is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with expertise in Data Optimization to join the NPI Operations team at their manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. This role is critical as the company scales production of its iron-air battery systems—a breakthrough long-duration energy storage technology designed to strengthen grid reliability and enable clean energy adoption.
You will lead and support initial operational production assembly processes by developing and deploying data analytics tools to optimize line performance. Your primary responsibilities include conducting in-depth analysis of process data to identify patterns and trends impacting production; using statistical methods to drive improvements in KPIs such as output, yield, and quality; and designing customized data analytics tools that enable process and equipment engineers to troubleshoot production issues effectively.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously refine manufacturing processes, utilizing data-driven approaches to recommend process changes, equipment upgrades, and operational adjustments that enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. A key focus is improving the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of process data by developing automated systems for real-time data collection and reporting. You will also develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5+ years of experience in a production environment (or equivalent academic experience)
- Excellence in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools
- Ability to define data architecture in cloud-based data platforms
- Experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, and process optimization
- Hands-on experience with production line data collection and analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
