Oura is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence for its award-winning health wearables. The Oura Ring is a consumer electronics device that helps millions of users track sleep, activity, and readiness through connected hardware and software. In this role, you will bridge product design and manufacturing by leading Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives across new product development. You'll work hands-on at factory floors and collaborate with R&D engineers, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers to optimize assembly processes, tooling, and material handling from early design through factory ramp-up. Key responsibilities include: - Contribute to product design through DFM analysis and manufacturing process optimization - Develop and deploy assembly and material handling processes in partnership with external partners and internal teams - Enhance gluing process performance for quality and throughput - Ensure manufacturing readiness, prototype build execution, and successful factory scaling - Assess manufacturing and assembly methods to guarantee end-customer satisfaction - Support and monitor production at contract manufacturer sites; identify and resolve bottlenecks - Create process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions - Collaborate with equipment suppliers to develop and implement solutions You bring proven experience in consumer electronics manufacturing, hands-on knowledge of electronics assembly processes and automation, and a track record of miniaturized product design. You have strong expertise in DFM, manufacturing tooling design, and equipment specification. You understand manufacturing process parameters, statistical process control, and process improvement methodologies. Experience with molding and gluing processes, automated machinery, and yield optimization is essential. You work systematically and collaboratively in complex, cross-functional environments. You prioritize effectively, communicate clearly in English, and thrive at the intersection of engineering and operations.
