Oura is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence for its award-winning smart ring products. You will bridge R&D and manufacturing, contributing to product design through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives while collaborating with internal teams, contract manufacturers, and equipment suppliers.
Key responsibilities include: developing and deploying assembly and material handling processes from design phase through factory implementation; optimizing gluing process performance for quality and throughput; planning activities at the R&D-manufacturing interface to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful factory ramp-ups; assessing manufacturing and assembly methods to guarantee end-customer satisfaction; supporting and monitoring production at contract manufacturer sites to solve problems and remove bottlenecks; and creating process documentation and standard operating procedures.
You bring proven experience in consumer electronics manufacturing with hands-on knowledge of electronics assembly processes, automation, and factory collaboration. You have a strong background in miniaturized product design, DFM, manufacturing tooling design, and equipment design. Your expertise spans manufacturing process parameters, statistical process control, process development, yield improvement, molding, and gluing processes with automated machines. You work systematically and collaboratively across complex, cross-functional environments with external partners and factories. You are fluent in English and comfortable creating SOPs and work instructions efficiently.
