Enveda is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry to drive lead optimization programmes and advance drug discovery. In this role, you will independently design novel molecules, interpret structure-activity relationships (SAR) and structure-property relationships (SPR), and generate design hypotheses to guide lead optimization across multiple programmes. You will integrate insights from synthetic chemistry, DMPK (drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics), biology, and AI-enabled molecular design tools to accelerate the discovery process.
You will lead multiple discovery programmes with full scientific ownership, presenting strategy and progress to cross-functional global teams. A key responsibility is mentoring junior scientists in medicinal chemistry thinking, scientific communication, and decision-making, helping develop the next generation of chemists. You will ensure compliance with Enveda's notebook SOPs, internal IP standards, and database requirements.
This position reports to the Director/AVP of Chemistry and offers the opportunity to shape drug discovery strategy while working at the intersection of chemistry, computational design, and biology. Your scientific expertise and leadership will directly contribute to Enveda's mission to deliver hope to patients everywhere.
