Zip is an AI-powered enterprise procurement platform trusted by major companies including T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, Mars, and Dollar Tree. The platform orchestrates procurement across teams, tools, and suppliers using AI agents, helping enterprises process over $500 billion in spend and save over $8 billion collectively.
You will lead the Contract Orchestration product, one of Zip's newest and most strategic initiatives. This role owns the vision and strategy for contract management end-to-end, with high autonomy. The opportunity addresses a significant market gap: buy-side contracting remains fragmented, with reviews scattered across email, signed agreements lost in shared drives, and requesters unable to track progress. Zip's customers execute over a million contract reviews annually, and the company has just launched AI Contract Orchestration to automate routine agreement handling.
Zip's competitive advantage stems from its position as the front door for procurement—the platform sees every contract with clean intake data on requester, spend, category, and risk. This enables AI to review clauses, propose redlines, and route work based on real context rather than document content alone.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting multi-quarter vision and strategy for Contract Orchestration with a clear, opinionated view of competitive differentiation versus incumbent CLMs
- Shipping AI-driven features: clause analysis, playbook-grounded redlines, contract generation, triage and routing, and metadata extraction
- Owning the full contract lifecycle from intake and negotiation through repository management, contract families, renewals, and contract-to-spend compliance
- Working directly with customers to ship features that reduce cycle times and increase visibility and compliance
- Building AI agents and owning the quality bar end-to-end: evals, guardrails, and feedback loops
- Contributing hands-on work including user research and quality review of extraction outputs
- Balancing interests of multiple stakeholders (procurement, legal, finance, requesters, suppliers) and maintaining quality standards that enable legal teams to trust AI with liability-bearing language
The role requires hybrid presence in the San Francisco office (3 days per week).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4–8+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, owning ambiguous, high-impact areas end-to-end
- Deep experience partnering with engineering and design to ship sophisticated products with strong user experience
- Experience with workflow or document-heavy enterprise products
- Track record of setting product strategy and influencing cross-functional partners and leadership without direct authority
- Experience shipping AI or ML features where accuracy is non-negotiable, including demonstrated ability to measure and improve quality
- Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders, including executives
- Extreme attention to detail with ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and industry knowledge
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly, even if it may disappoint customers or stakeholders
