Twilio is seeking a Senior Principal Field Architect to lead the adoption and integration of AI-native platform services. This is a P7 Distinguished Engineer role on the Field CTO team, bridging product vision with customer needs in the rapidly evolving AI space.
You will spearhead the launch of Twilio Conversations suite and Twilio Agent Connect (TAC), ensuring seamless integration with industry-leading AI tools and cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure Foundry, GCP Vertex AI Agent Builder, Meta's Business Agent platform). Your responsibilities include:
• Ecosystem Engineering & Integration: Engineer integrations between Twilio's AI services and hyperscaler AI platforms, ensuring developers can quickly build conversational AI applications.
• Champion the Builder's Mindset: Demonstrate deep, practical understanding of modern software development and how developers use AI coding tools (Claude, Gemini, Cursor) to build omnichannel customer support agents and conversational AI on Twilio.
• Strategic Partnerships: Act as technical liaison with partner teams at leading AI tool and cloud companies, ensuring Twilio's APIs work seamlessly within their ecosystems.
• Roadmap & Vision Leadership: Present Twilio's technical roadmap to customers and consolidate field insights into structured inputs for R&D planning.
• Sales & Go-to-Market Enablement: Support Sales and Specialist teams with positioning, use cases, and technical roadmaps. Work with sales enablement on coverage strategy.
• Customer Discovery: Partner with Specialist teams to capture technical and business requirements from key enterprise design partner accounts.
Required: 10+ years engineering experience plus 8+ years in enterprise technology strategy, technical product management, cloud engineering, or executive consulting. Deep architectural understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and hands-on familiarity with conversational AI, chatbots, cognitive services, and ML architectures. Strong technical background to discuss complex system architecture and ability to influence product strategy from field insights.
