AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to drive architectural strategy and technical execution across an 80+ engineer Applications Portfolio, spanning Web, Mobile, and Headless surfaces. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you will set the vision for technology transformation, bridging deep frontend architecture with scalable, agentic API-first platforms. Key responsibilities include defining and driving technical strategy for the entire Applications Portfolio, establishing frontend architecture standards (Web, Mobile, Headless) to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance. You will act as a key mentor and coach to senior engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and high-impact decision-making. Collaboration with Product leadership is central to the role—you'll drive roadmaps and ensure engineering strategy aligns with customer needs and product evolution. You will facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines for complex, multi-team projects. A major focus is spearheading the evolution of application architecture from a 'feature factory' model to a platform-driven system, modernizing API layers and integrating emerging standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable next-generation agentic workflows. You'll partner closely with Design Systems teams to define and influence the evolution of shared UI components and design tokens, ensuring seamless integration with engineering architectural standards. Technical governance is also critical—identifying and reducing systemic technical risks, enforcing design principles, and raising the bar through hands-on technical reviews and prototyping. AlphaSense is a market intelligence platform trusted by over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in New York City, the company has 2,000+ employees across offices in the U.S., U.K., Finland, India, Singapore, Canada, and Ireland. The 2024 acquisition of Tegus expanded AlphaSense's capabilities in AI-driven market intelligence and content expansion.
