Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Workload team within R&D. You will own critical observability infrastructure, drive incident response maturity, and help scale proactive support capabilities for a multi-tenant BaaS platform serving over 550,000 customers worldwide. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining observability pipelines using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fleet) across Azure and AWS workloads. You'll develop and own SLO/SLI dashboards and error budget reporting for BaaS platform services, respond to and lead incident response for distributed cloud workloads, and own runbook creation and continuous improvement. You'll build proactive support tooling including pattern analysis, tenant correlation dashboards, and baseline deviation alerting to reduce reactive support burden. Additionally, you'll manage Elastic Fleet agent policies, enrollment health, and log streaming pipelines across Azure and AWS worker fleets, and partner with SRE, R&D, and Proactive Support teams to close observability gaps. Required experience includes 5+ years in cloud platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure roles supporting commercial SaaS products. You need deep hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (dashboards, KQL/Query DSL, Fleet management), proven experience operating distributed multi-tenant workloads on Azure and/or AWS, and strong understanding of Azure services (AKS, Entra ID, Key Vault, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Private Endpoints). Experience with incident response in production cloud environments, IaC tools (Azure Bicep, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), and strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell are essential. Cross-functional collaboration with SRE, product, and support teams is critical.
