Sensi.AI is transforming elder care through AI and data-driven solutions. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will architect and build the shared backend platform and AI enablement layer that powers all product teams across the organization.
You will serve as a force-multiplier role, raising the velocity and quality of every engineering team rather than shipping individual features. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead architecture and design reviews across R&D, shaping technical proposals and helping teams adopt the right patterns for AI, backend, and data-driven systems
- Design and build core backend platform services and SDKs including authentication, eventing, feature flags, configuration, and data access layers that product teams compose into AI-powered features
- Build the AI enablement layer: shared LLM gateways, prompt and agent frameworks, evaluation and tracing tooling, model routing, guardrails, and cost/latency controls to enable safe and consistent LLM and agent adoption across teams
- Define and own platform processes that improve engineering velocity and quality, including service templates, paced-road patterns, code review standards, release workflows, and documentation
- Build comprehensive observability and quality infrastructure for AI features: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, LLM-call instrumentation, prompt/response evaluations, and regression detection
- Research, prototype, and lead selective adoption of new AI tooling, agent frameworks, and backend technologies into the platform
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who thrives on architectural challenges, enjoys mentoring and influencing across teams, and is passionate about building robust, scalable systems that enable AI innovation at scale.
