Mollie is a European fintech platform serving 250,000+ businesses with payments and money management solutions. The company is evolving from a payment processor into a full financial services provider and seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Developer Enablement domain's Build team.
In this role, you will own the health, stability, and scalability of Mollie's CI/CD infrastructure, which underpins the continuous integration, developer workflows, and deployment pipelines across the organization. You'll be responsible for maintaining high availability and reliability of these critical systems while responding to outages and ensuring operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee CI/CD infrastructure health, stability, and scalability to support product delivery
- Monitor and respond to system outages to maintain high availability and reliability standards
- Develop and implement CI/CD strategies, guidelines, and governance while future-proofing architecture for security, compliance, and resilience
- Optimize compute and storage usage for efficiency while maintaining excellent developer experience
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues collaboratively with internal engineering teams
Required experience includes:
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab or similar CI systems (Jenkins, Buildkite) with self-hosted operations focus
- Experience with cloud-native deployment and GitOps solutions (GitLab, ArgoCD, Flux, GoCD, Spinnaker, Harness)
- Proficiency with major cloud providers and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
- Comfortable running, monitoring, and developing systems on Kubernetes with Helm and container tools
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills using observability and debugging tools
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities with empathy for product and application engineers
Nice-to-have skills include Google Cloud Platform experience, GitLab CI/CD operations, and ArgoCD deployment platform experience.
