As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll join the platform enablement team responsible for making infrastructure and systems reliable, performant, and scalable. This is a hands-on role where you'll work across infrastructure and backend systems to help product teams ship faster and safer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and evolving the Kubernetes and CNCF-aligned platform, including cluster lifecycle, workload primitives, autoscaling, and golden paths
- Owning cloud operations end-to-end: networking, IAM, secrets, capacity, and cost management across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Maintaining and expanding the multi-region processing architecture with independent regions, data residency, and per-region operations
- Driving infrastructure-as-code practices using Pulumi: building modules, guardrails, and review patterns for the broader engineering team
- Improving reliability, performance, and cost through SLOs, observability, autoscaling, capacity planning, and incident response
- Anchoring platform discipline in the NYC office and partnering with SRE and Foundations teams across regions
You bring years of backend engineering experience with solid infrastructure, observability, and monitoring expertise. You have hands-on Kubernetes experience and familiarity with Pulumi or similar IaC tools (AWS CDK, Terraform). Most importantly, you're someone who gets things done in fast-paced environments with ambiguous problems, proactively solves burning issues independently, and thrives where processes are minimal and impact is high.
