Farsight AI is an agentic AI platform for financial services, helping investment banks and private equity firms automate complex, nuanced workflows. The company addresses a critical pain point: institutions currently spend 80% of their time gathering information and creating first drafts of materials manually before iteration. Farsight's AI-powered platform returns that time to teams while surfacing new insights they couldn't uncover independently.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure critical to delivering cutting-edge AI products to premier financial institutions. Your work directly impacts scalability, reliability, and security of deployments serving the financial services sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect, deploy, and manage robust cloud infrastructure supporting advanced generative AI workloads at scale
- Streamline and optimize CI/CD platforms to maintain rapid, reliable deployments
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions (AWS CDK, CloudFormation) for repeatable, scalable deployments
- Develop comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability strategies to maintain high system availability
- Ensure infrastructure adheres to rigorous security standards and compliance requirements for regulated industries
- Manage and orchestrate large-scale microservice architectures and their communication protocols
- Proactively identify infrastructure improvements for efficiency, cost optimization, and performance
Required qualifications include 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering or DevOps experience, extensive AWS expertise (ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, RDS, IAM, SSM), proven containerization and orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC), and deep knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and management (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Experience with AWS and hybrid deployments in regulated industries is highly valued. You should be an independent problem-solver motivated to improve efficiency and solve complex infrastructure challenges, with ability to collaborate closely with developers.
The team comprises experienced professionals from leading financial institutions (Evercore, General Atlantic, Menlo Ventures) combined with scalable engineering and AI expertise from Amazon, Hugging Face, and MIT Media Lab. The company is entirely based in Manhattan with in-person expectations 4 days per week (remote on Fridays).
