As Senior Physical Security & Safety Manager, you will lead Legora's security and safety programs across a fast-growing global footprint. You'll own corporate security operations, executive protection, travel risk management, threat monitoring, and incident response while maintaining the company's welcoming, open culture.
Key responsibilities include:
**Corporate Security & Executive Protection**: Own security operations across Legora offices (access control, visitor management, badging, surveillance, emergency procedures). Build and run risk-based executive protection for the CEO and senior leaders, including protective intelligence, travel risk assessment, ground transportation, and advance planning. Manage security vendors, contracts, and infrastructure projects. Own the security budget and forecast.
**Travel Security & Duty of Care**: Build and run Legora's travel risk program with pre-trip guidance, traveler tracking, and destination briefings. Own the duty of care approach, ensuring employees know available support and how to access it. Select and manage travel risk, medical, and security assistance providers.
**Threat Monitoring & Emergency Communications**: Set up monitoring of global events (geopolitical developments, civil unrest, crime, severe weather) affecting employees, travelers, offices, or events. Define protocols for incident intake, triage, verification, and escalation. Own emergency communications approach including mass notification tools and regular testing. Translate threat information into clear updates for leadership.
**Incident Response & Crisis Management**: Lead first response to physical security and safety incidents. Build relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services. Develop and test crisis, emergency, and business continuity plans through tabletop exercises. Track metrics and report risks and program progress to leadership.
Travel to Legora offices, events, and other locations is expected up to 30% based on operational needs.
**Requirements**:
- 7+ years of experience in corporate security, physical security, executive protection, or related field, ideally at a fast-growing tech company
- Experience owning security programs across multiple sites or regions
- Hands-on knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems
- Experience building travel risk or duty of care programs
- Background in executive protection (delivering protection or managing providers)
- Sound judgment under pressure and discretion with sensitive matters
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to scale programs
- Clear writing and ability to influence leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners
- Willingness to travel and respond to incidents outside business hours
**Nice to have**: Experience building security function from scratch at startup/scale-up; experience supporting US and European operations; familiarity with protective intelligence or online threat monitoring tools; CPP or PSP certifications; experience using AI tools.
