Pickle Robot is automating global supply chains with Physical AI, deploying robots to handle warehouse unloading—one of logistics' most challenging and understaffed roles. The company is building generalized autonomy (the Dill Autonomy Engine) to orchestrate robots across entire logistics workflows. As a Senior Perception Software Engineer, you will lead the development of perception systems that power warehouse robots operating in dynamic, real-world environments. Your primary focus will be 3D LiDAR and multi-sensor array processing to solve state estimation, scene perception, mapping, and localization challenges. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing robust, production-grade perception software that converts raw sensor data into actionable intelligence for autonomous robots - Working with 3D LiDAR, camera arrays, and other multi-modal sensors to build accurate environmental models - Developing algorithms for state estimation, SLAM, object detection, and scene understanding in unstructured warehouse environments - Collaborating with robotics, controls, and autonomy teams to integrate perception outputs into end-to-end robot systems - Optimizing perception pipelines for real-time performance on edge hardware - Contributing to system architecture and best practices for production robotics software You will be part of a team tackling one of logistics' hardest problems: automating the physical, unstructured work of truck unloading. Your work directly impacts robot safety, efficiency, and the experience of warehouse workers.
