You will be hired as the first dedicated member of the People Ops team, reporting to the Director of People and based in the London office. You'll work closely with the wider People & Talent team across London and Belfast.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own HR systems and people data: maintain clean, scalable, structured systems enabling reporting and AI-driven insights
- Own and improve People Ops: end-to-end ownership of contracts, employee changes, leavers, onboarding, and policy, removing friction as the company scales
- Drive compliance and policy: own UK employment compliance and lead US contractor compliance as Raylo expands
- Own L&D infrastructure and workplace experience: ensure tools and sites work, line manage Office Managers across Belfast and London while People Partners lead programme design
- Build AI into People Ops: design onboarding, policy Q&A, reporting, and contract workflows that use AI by default; provide managers and employees self-serve tools; set guardrails for AI use in a people context
Raylo emphasizes AI fluency throughout the organization. The company uses AI to draft, automate reporting, and keep systems current. You'll take this further by designing processes that use AI by default rather than bolting it on.
The company culture emphasizes curiosity, customer focus, execution, and grit. Raylo hires to a high bar and expects people to do the best work of their lives.
Requirements:
- AI fluency that goes beyond buzzwords: ability to reach for AI when designing how things should work, not just when told to
- Solid People Ops foundations: proven ability to run and improve clean, reliable People operations including systems, compliance, contracts, policy, and data
- International scaling experience: demonstrated experience building People processes across multiple jurisdictions; US contractor compliance, EOR providers, or multi-country onboarding experience are relevant
- Systems thinking and optimiser's instinct: ability to build things once, properly; energized by fixing broken processes and creating new solutions
- Strong communication: ability to influence senior stakeholders, explain technical concepts simply, and build trust across the business
