Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer to join the Air Dominance and Strike team in Costa Mesa, California. In this role, you will design and layout printed circuit boards for advanced defense systems, working closely with avionics, systems, and software engineers to create test systems for development, qualification, verification, and validation. You will support rapid prototyping and deployment of cutting-edge military hardware powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of PCB layout experience and 8+ years with Altium design software. You must demonstrate solid understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, design rules, and best practices. Experience with ECAD libraries, signal and power integrity rules, and high-speed digital interfaces (USB, PCIe, Ethernet) with controlled impedance routing is essential. You should be comfortable reading and interpreting schematics, working in collaborative team environments, and be eligible for security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include PCB design certifications (CID, CID++, PCEA-CPCD), familiarity with MIL-STD and IPC standards, experience with high-density routing (BGA fanout, 10+ layer stackups), high-speed routing (PCIe, DDR), power distribution network analysis, and vendor collaboration on design for manufacturability/assembly. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
