CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior PCB Designer II (Power) to join their team in El Segundo, CA. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will design PCBs for modern digital, analog, and power electronics circuits used in ground, airborne, and space applications. Your responsibilities will include:
- PCB design and layout for power electronics and mixed-signal circuits
- Schematic symbol review and PCB footprint creation
- Library management and design file release into product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
- Production support and design validation
- Collaboration with analog and power electronics engineers
- Cross-functional work with mechanical and manufacturing engineers
- Implementation of designs for quick prototyping and volume production
- Adherence to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for cost (DFC), and design for testability (DFT) principles
You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment with hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work. The role involves multitasking between different PCB designs and supporting the full product lifecycle from prototype to production.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State due to space technology export regulations.
