Coder is hiring a Senior Partner Deployed Engineer to build and scale its partner ecosystem across EMEA. This is a new function modeled on the Forward Deployed Engineer role pioneered by Palantir and now common at frontier AI companies. You will embed with strategic partners—global systems integrators, regional cloud consultancies, and hyperscaler field teams—to help them understand, position, and deliver Coder's AI development infrastructure platform across their customer bases. You are part Field CTO, part Industry Strategist, part Technical Specialist, and part Partner Relations Lead. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as strategic technical thought partner to EMEA partner leadership (CTOs, practice leads, solutions architects), owning the technical relationship and vision for how Coder fits into each partner's AI and modernization portfolio. - Co-create tailored sales plays and Working Backwards outcome proposals for strategic partner-customer combinations. - Develop and deliver workshops, Builder Labs, and enablement sessions as the primary demand generation vehicle for the EMEA ecosystem. - Intervene directly on highest-value partner-attached deals: co-sell calls, technical discovery, PoV scoping, architecture review, and technical win support. - Transform bespoke enablement sessions into structured LMS modules and certification tiers that scale across the EMEA partner base. - Produce "better together" reference architectures for strategic partner combinations across cloud providers and AI platforms, including deployment diagrams, network topology, IAM patterns, and operational runbooks. - Codify successful partner engagements into repeatable GTM plays: trigger conditions, discovery questions, positioning framework, demo scripts, PoV scope templates, and expected outcomes. - Build AI-powered self-service tools that automate high-volume PDE activities: Opportunity Brief Generator, PR/FAQ Generator, Workshop-in-a-Box deployment, and demo site builder. - Produce monthly partner intelligence digests from EMEA engagements, sharing insights on customer needs, competitive positioning, missing integrations, and emerging vertical use cases with Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership. - Own EMEA-relevant portions of the joint technical integration roadmap with strategic partners, defining priorities cross-functionally based on field signals. - Create and publish Partner Relations content: technical blog posts, cookbooks, conference talks, enablement videos, and workshop recaps to build Coder's technical brand within the EMEA partner community. - Contribute to cloud marketplace product listing stewardship, competency maintenance documentation, and CSP co-build technical requirements. Required qualifications: - 7+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Field CTO, Technical Consulting, or Developer Relations roles at infrastructure, developer tools, or AI companies. - Demonstrated experience helping partners or customers understand and adopt products in emerging or undefined categories. - Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, with production-level Kubernetes and Terraform depth. - 2+ years deploying or operating AI coding agents in production or near-production environments; understanding of agent loops, credential management, and European enterprise governance and audit requirements. - Ability to articulate architectural differences between workspace-local agent tooling and centralized agentic harness, and explain why that distinction matters to security, compliance, or data sovereignty stakeholders. - Experience working with channel or technology partners in co-sell models: hyperscaler partner programs, GSI/RSI partnerships, or VAR/distributor ecosystems in EMEA markets. - Experience building repeatable technical GTM assets that scaled beyond single engagements.
