The Senior Operations Manager leads operational excellence across all depots in an assigned market. You will manage a team of Operations Managers and frontline staff (Operations Associates, Shift Supervisors, Service Agents, Lead Drivers), with accountability for safe, reliable, and exceptional service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Standardize and continuously improve depot-level execution across your market
- Develop Operations Managers and Associates into independent operators who diagnose problems and deliver results without close supervision
- Own depot performance metrics: utilization, vehicle readiness, cost control, supply hours, occupancy, no-vehicle-available rates, and cancellations
- Enforce consistent operating standards across all locations to ensure uniform member experience, safety, and cost performance
- Analyze performance data to identify root causes and take swift, evidence-based action
- Manage cost performance for driver labor and operations staff against approved budget; forecast expenses and identify cost reductions without compromising quality
- Own fleet availability, maintenance, and uptime to prevent grounded vehicles from limiting supply or revenue
- Ensure safety standards, incident response, and full compliance with labor policies and legal requirements
- Contribute strategic insight to market planning, budget development, and expansion decisions
- Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and training that scale to new depots and markets
This is a fully onsite role requiring daily engagement with teams and operations. You will report to a Director who owns market P&L, strategy, and expansion; you are expected to be a strong, well-informed voice in those conversations, bringing depot-level evidence and perspective.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of progressive, hands-on operations leadership in fleet, rideshare, logistics, or high-volume service environments
- 3+ years leading people managers, including managers accountable for their own site, depot, or facility and large frontline teams (100+ employees)
- Demonstrated track record of developing frontline managers into independent operators who deliver without close supervision
- Multi-site or multi-facility operating experience with judgment to hold distributed locations to a single standard
- Proven ownership of cost performance against budget, with strong instincts for balancing growth, efficiency, and quality
- Measurable results improving existing operations (throughput, cost, quality, safety), not just running in steady state
- Demonstrated experience in safety-critical operating environments, including incident response and regulatory/labor compliance
- Data-driven operator with fluency in performance metrics, forecasting, and operational planning tools
- Experience in high-growth, fast-changing environments, comfortable navigating shifting priorities
- Hands-on leader who earns credibility through direct involvement and execution
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience leading multi-site operations
