The Space Special Programs team builds spacecraft and space systems for mission-critical defense applications, leveraging AI-powered operating systems and cutting-edge autonomy, computer vision, and sensor fusion technology.
As Senior Operations Lead, you will be a core member of the Space Special Programs Business Line leadership team, responsible for developing and scaling the organization's people and processes. You will serve as a trusted partner across all internal business operations, balancing quick-turn operational problem-solving with strategic process redesign and high-impact initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
• Organizational Planning & Development: Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to develop and execute organizational strategy. Implement tools and processes for data-driven decision-making, define and track metrics for organizational health and performance, and design governance structures and accountability mechanisms.
• Process & Continuous Improvement: Build and redesign operational processes to support scaling. Drive quarterly and annual planning cycles for Space Special Programs and prepare content for regular business reviews with the executive team and cross-functional partners.
• Strategic Support: Work closely with product, engineering, sales, logistics, and mission success teams to enable the development, testing, deployment, and operation of advanced space capabilities in challenging operational environments.
This role requires someone who can operate effectively across multiple functional areas, balance tactical execution with strategic thinking, and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on organizational effectiveness and operational excellence.
