Delinea is building an AI-powered Identity Security Platform that uses intelligent, centralized authorization to govern human and machine identities across modern enterprises. The Iris AI team is responsible for the AI-powered capabilities of the platform, applying LLMs to real security problems: detecting anomalies in audit data, making smarter authorization decisions, and building agents that deliver value to customers. In this role, you'll design, build, and operate the cloud services powering Delinea's AI features. You'll work across C#/.NET, Python, and Go on Azure and Kubernetes, with LLMs as a core part of your toolkit. Your responsibilities include building scalable, highly available backend services; integrating LLM capabilities using platforms like Azure AI Foundry (model integration, RAG, tool calling, agents, evals); designing event-driven, asynchronous microservice architectures; and owning delivery end-to-end from infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) through CI/CD, monitoring, and production incident response. You'll collaborate closely with product, UX, and platform teams on code and design reviews. A distinctive aspect of this role is that the team uses AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a disciplined practice—spec-driven development, careful context management, and verified testing—holding AI-generated code to the same standards as hand-written code. Required: CS degree or equivalent; 8+ years building production backend services in C#/.NET, Python, or Go across the full SDLC; hands-on experience building products with LLMs (inference, structured outputs, RAG, tool calling, agents) on platforms like Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic API; fluency with AI-assisted development as a discipline; strong distributed systems, API design, and microservices knowledge; major cloud provider experience; solid understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture and scale operations. Desirable: experience building tools, APIs, or integrations for AI agents (MCP servers, function-calling interfaces, plugins); ML/MLOps depth (fine-tuning, eval harnesses, production model deployment); Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD expertise; identity security, PAM, or Zero Trust background. Note: Delinea requires US work authorization; candidates requiring visa sponsorship are not considered.
