Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management organization, is seeking a Senior Mutual Fund Administrator to join the Operations Asset Management team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, you will take ownership of processing registered plan products with a primary focus on Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) and Group Retirement Saving Plans (GRSP). Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely execution of mutual fund trades and documents from financial institutions, dealers, advisors, and investors. You will process internal and external adjustments for RESP and GRSP accounts, handle notional values for transfer-in and transfer-out transactions, and manage RESP estates, marriage breakdown requests, and bankruptcy cases. You'll upload, review, and reconcile monthly Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) processing files and annual Québec Education Savings Incentive (QESI) files. You will monitor daily and monthly reports, complete tasks within prescribed deadlines, and actively participate in department meetings with recommendations for process improvements. A key aspect of this role is supporting the onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development of team members, demonstrating your seniority and leadership within the operations function. Additional responsibilities include staying informed of regulatory, industry, and trustee updates, and participating in department strategic initiatives and special projects. You will work directly with dealers, credit unions, and financial institutions on inquiries related to mutual fund transactions, holdings, and reporting requirements. Required qualifications include 5+ years of related work experience in registered plans and completion of the CSC course. You must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is essential. Experience with Unitrax is a valuable asset. Fluent English communication is required; bilingual French skills are an asset. Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred. You should work effectively both independently and collaboratively, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
