webAI is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to build a flagship cross-platform application using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Compose Multiplatform, alongside native SwiftUI. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on shipping high-quality mobile experiences with integrated AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules with testable business logic and repositories
- Build user interfaces using Compose Multiplatform and native SwiftUI
- Integrate on-device and remote AI frameworks into the application
- Profile, optimize, and harden app performance on real devices; troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Conduct rigorous code reviews (including AI-generated code), establish project conventions, and mentor teammates
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of mobile development with shipped production apps on Android, iOS, or both
- Strong Kotlin expertise including coroutines and Flows
- Demonstrated interest in AI engineering
- Solid experience with mobile tooling and app store deployment
- Strong mobile product instincts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Compose Multiplatform or strong Jetpack Compose experience with understanding of recomposition stability
- SwiftUI experience and comfort working at the Swift/Kotlin boundary via SKIE, Swift Export, or hand-written interoperability
- Experience with Rust UniFFI, C++, or JavaScript
- Open-source contributions to ML/AI or KMP libraries
