As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will build exceptional mobile experiences serving both Farther's advisors and clients. You'll work with React Native, Expo, and TypeScript to ship features impacting wealth management workflows—from client onboarding to portfolio management to advisor tools. You'll join the mobile engineering team focused on core product features and roadmap delivery.
The company is creating a Forward Deployed Engineering team where senior engineers rotate to work directly with advisors on urgent challenges. After ramping up (typically 3-6 months), you may have the opportunity to rotate onto this team yourself.
Key responsibilities include: building and shipping mobile features across iOS and Android; creating high-performance interfaces for complex financial workflows; collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers; contributing to mobile architecture decisions; building reusable components; mentoring other engineers on mobile best practices; participating in code reviews; taking ownership of significant features from design through deployment; and contributing to the company's agentic-based software manufacturing pipeline.
You should have 6+ years of mobile development experience with at least 3 years in React Native, strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, experience with both iOS and Android platforms, deep understanding of mobile architecture and performance optimization, and a product-focused mindset. Full-stack engineering experience and AWS infrastructure/deployment experience are valued. Bonus qualifications include fintech/financial services mobile experience, native iOS/Android background, mobile security knowledge, consulting or customer-facing technical roles, financial data visualization experience, rapid prototyping background, offline-first architecture familiarity, and mobile CI/CD expertise.
