Mytra is building a new class of robotics and distributed software to solve material movement and storage in supply chain—a $1T market. The company applies AI and robotics to address e-commerce growth, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions.
As a Senior ML Perception Engineer, you'll lead the computer vision stack that gives Mytra's distributed robot fleet situational awareness. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role spanning model development, data pipelines, simulation, and production deployment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and improve perception models for object detection (pallet trays, bots), depth estimation (learned and geometric methods), and scene understanding that power collision avoidance and on-bot behaviors.
- Own the vision data engine: ETL pipelines ingesting on-bot and rollbot logs, cloud storage, labeling workflows, and curated training-ready datasets.
- Advance simulation and sim-to-real: train models in simulation, validate in software-in-the-loop, and systematically close the gap to real robot data.
- Develop camera and time-of-flight based localization feeding the safety system.
- Deploy and integrate perception on-robot: optimize models for on-bot compute, publish outputs to downstream consumers, and manage fleet-wide model releases and monitoring.
- Contribute technical leadership: author design docs, review code, mentor engineers, and shape the perception roadmap with camera/sensing, robotics, and safety teams.
Perception is foundational—collision avoidance, localization, and safety all depend on robust environmental interpretation. You'll own significant workstreams end-to-end and work closely with cross-functional teams.
