GetYourGuide is seeking a Senior ML Ops Engineer to join its AI Platform Team in Berlin. Since 2009, the company has connected millions of travelers with unique activities across 12,000+ cities worldwide. The AI Platform Team, established in 2020, provides tools and best practices for building and maintaining production-ready Traditional ML and LLM-based systems.
In this role, you will design and implement scalable systems and tools for high-quality machine learning and LLM solutions. You'll build the foundational platform on which all AI-powered products are constructed, reducing time-to-production and embedding MLOps/LLMOps best practices across the organization. You'll partner closely with product teams to bring advanced algorithms into production, ensuring reliability and efficiency at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing systems for scalable, efficient ML and LLM solutions
- Building platform infrastructure that enables rapid, safe deployment of AI-powered features
- Collaborating with product teams to operationalize advanced algorithms following MLOps best practices
- Establishing reproducibility, CI/CD, versioning, automated testing, deployment patterns, and monitoring standards
Required experience:
- 3+ years building production ML/AI systems at scale, with shipped end-to-end AI/LLM product features (not just internal tooling)
- Deep familiarity with modern LLM application building blocks: orchestration, evaluation, experimentation, guardrails, latency/cost optimization
- Strong MLOps/LLMOps expertise: reproducibility, CI/CD for ML, model versioning, automated testing, deployment patterns, rollbacks, monitoring
- Strong computer science fundamentals with Python as primary language; polyglot capability preferred
- Experience organizing and querying data at scale using tools like Spark
- Cloud DevOps and infrastructure mindset; experience operating systems at scale
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Mentoring and knowledge-sharing orientation; autonomous, proactive, customer-focused mindset
The role is hybrid with three days in-office (Mon, Tue, Thu) and two optional remote days.
