CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Mission Operator to lead systems engineering activities for complex spacecraft and aerospace systems. This role is responsible for defining, developing, integrating, verifying, and operating satellite communication systems, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms throughout their product lifecycle.
The Senior Mission Operator will translate customer requirements and mission objectives into technical solutions while providing technical leadership for mission execution, operational readiness, and on-orbit spacecraft operations. You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, collaborating closely with software, hardware, electrical, mechanical, integration and test, ground systems, and program teams to ensure systems meet technical, operational, cost, and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities include supporting programs from concept development through launch and mission operations, driving system integration, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring mission success. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in aerospace systems, mission planning, and operational procedures.
