Pallet is building AI Agents to transform the physical economy, a $12 trillion global industry. The company has raised $50M from top investors including General Catalyst, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Bain Capital Ventures, achieving 700% revenue growth in under two years.
As a Senior Member of Technical Staff in Product Engineering, you will bridge the gap between customers and Pallet's AI platform, customizing solutions for enterprise logistics clients while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build the AI product from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founding team including the CTO (ex-Google, ex-YC Founder, ex-DoorDash) and lead engineers who built Document AI at Scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and owning core product features that power thousands of AI agents running in parallel to solve real logistics problems
- Acting as connective tissue between engineering and customers, translating business needs into reliable, scalable software
- Designing and implementing data pipelines and backend systems built to scale from hundreds to millions of users
- Shipping end-to-end features in a SaaS environment where customers see impact quickly
- Collaborating on architecture, product decisions, and technical direction
- Helping define what great product engineering looks like at Pallet as an early team member
Pallet's platform provides end-to-end visibility, control, and optimization for supply chain operations. The newest product, CoPallet, introduces AI Agents that understand and execute requests in real time, integrating directly with customer systems to automate back-office operations like scheduling, appointment setting, data entry, and load management.
Tech stack: PostgreSQL, Node.js + TypeScript, Encore for server-side development on GCP, OpenAI/Anthropic/Google foundation models, Playwright for browser automation, React + TypeScript frontend on Vercel.
The role offers genuine influence over product direction as one of the first Product Engineers at Pallet, full ownership from idea to deployment, direct access to founders, and meaningful equity in a company targeting a $10B+ outcome. The position requires 5 days/week in-office presence in San Francisco's Financial District or the NYC satellite office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience with deeper architectural ownership and focus on system quality and long-term maintainability
- Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals
- Experience owning core product or infrastructure in a SaaS or platform environment
- Demonstrated focus on reliability, performance, and architecture, not just shipping features
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, in-person startup environment
- Excited to work in-office 5 days/week in SF Financial District or NYC satellite office
- Bonus: Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL experience (interviews are language-agnostic)
