Intouch Solutions, part of the EVERSANA integrated commercialization platform, is a global full-service marketing agency network serving the life sciences industry. We are seeking a Senior Medical Editor to join our Chicago office. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive editorial services including medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking of digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, presentations, and corporate communications. You will have ownership of all projects for assigned clients and lead specified complex brands or clients through launches. Key responsibilities include: - Edit for language clarity, consistency, brand accuracy, tone, grammar, spelling, and formatting; support reviews with AI tools - Participate in content review processes throughout all project stages, including fact-checking with accurate referencing - Manage multiple brand tasks with competing deadlines, coordinating with other Editorial team members - Interface with Creative, Account, Project Management, and other departments to prioritize projects and maintain quality - Lead assigned product launches and support agency team coverage - Represent the Editorial department at internal kickoff and status meetings - Create and maintain style guides for clients and brands - Onboard and mentor junior team members - Support department initiatives around best practices and process improvements - Alert management to editorial process or quality concerns and collaborate on resolutions You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you act as a self-starter with a "can-do" attitude. The role requires strong project management skills, the ability to handle rapidly shifting priorities, and deep expertise in pharmaceutical and medical content. Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years of editing experience within healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment - Thorough knowledge of current AMA style - Experience with medical, regulatory, and legal reviews; familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion - Demonstrated comfort with medical/pharma terminology - Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate - Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in high-pressure situations - Ability to take ownership and work independently - Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint - Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and problem-solving skills
