Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Warfighter Systems division, which develops mixed-reality technologies for military applications. You will design and develop a new Army vision system that integrates multispectral sensors, compute, thermal management, and ballistic protection into a wearable platform.
In this role, you will own mechanical design from concept through production, balancing stringent SWAP-C (Size, Weight, Power, Cost) requirements with human factors and comfort. You'll work autonomously on prototyping and evaluation efforts, managing complex assemblies and producing high-quality engineering documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Detailed mechanical design for traditional and additive manufacturing (metals and composites)
- Ergonomic and human factors analysis for prolonged tactical wear
- Structural and thermal analysis to inform trade studies
- Manufacturing process selection and optimization
- Environmental and thermal performance evaluation
- CAD modeling and assembly management
You must have 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, strong CAD proficiency, and deep expertise in design for manufacturing, ergonomics, structural/thermal analysis, and manufacturing processes. Military specification experience and familiarity with wearable systems are essential. Preferred qualifications include consumer electronics packaging, MIL-STD requirements knowledge, NX/Teamcenter experience, and rapid prototyping skills.
U.S. Security Clearance eligibility is required. This is a full-time position offering competitive salary, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits.
