Salary: USD 146,000 - 170,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Warfighter Systems division, which develops mixed-reality technologies that enhance military situational awareness and operational capabilities. You will design and develop a new Army vision system integrating multispectral sensors, compute, thermal management, and ballistic protection into a wearable platform. In this role, you will lead mechanical design efforts for a cutting-edge wearable system, balancing stringent SWAP-C (Size, Weight, Power, Cost) requirements with human factors and comfort. You'll work autonomously on prototyping and evaluation efforts, translating complex military specifications into manufacturable designs. Key responsibilities include: - Detailed mechanical design for both traditional and additive manufacturing, working with metallics and composites from prototype through production - Ergonomic and human factors analysis to ensure comfort and usability for prolonged tactical wear - Structural analysis using FEA to evaluate performance under impact and stress conditions - Thermal and environmental analysis to ensure reliability across operational conditions - Manufacturing process optimization including molding, laminating, and machining techniques - CAD modeling and high-quality engineering drawing generation You bring 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in wearable systems, military specifications, and consumer electronics packaging. You're proficient in CAD (any platform), FEA analysis, and have a strong understanding of design for manufacturability. Experience with NX/Teamcenter, rapid prototyping, and MIL-STD requirements is highly valued. You must be a U.S. person eligible to obtain a security clearance.
