Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) division focuses on specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community customers, developing mission-critical capabilities that address national security requirements.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own hardware development from concept through real-world deployment. You'll design and develop mechanical systems and components for cutting-edge defense technologies, collaborating closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning hardware from concept generation to production deployment
- Interfacing with manufacturing and production teams
- Applying first-principles physics to all design decisions
- Leading design reviews, conducting thermal and structural analysis, and defining hardware test plans
- Building prototypes, analyzing failures, and transitioning successful projects into production
- Supporting critical hardware demonstrations with customers
- Hands-on CAD modeling and high-quality engineering drawings
Required qualifications: 10+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, BS/M.Eng/MS/PhD in engineering, active U.S. Secret security clearance (maintainable), demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills, proficiency with CAD tools, and strong command of engineering first principles.
Preferred experience includes PCBA and electronics integration, SiemensNX & Teamcenter, passive/active thermal management design, EMI-constrained hardware design, and cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
