Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Intelligence Systems division in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on designing and developing mechanical systems and components for cutting-edge defense technologies serving Intelligence Community customers.
You will own hardware development from concept through real-world deployment, collaborating with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration. Key responsibilities include hands-on prototyping, CAD modeling, thermal and structural analysis, manufacturing interface, design reviews, vendor management, and hardware test planning. You will build prototypes, analyze failures, transition successful projects to production, and support critical customer demonstrations.
Required qualifications include an active U.S. Secret security clearance, 10+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, a BS/M.Eng/MS/PhD in a related engineering field, experience with immersive technical projects, proficiency in CAD (any platform) with ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings, demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills, and strong command of engineering first principles.
Preferred qualifications include experience integrating PCBAs and electronics into mechanical systems, familiarity with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, expertise in passive and active thermal management design, knowledge of EMI constraints in hardware design, and experience collaborating with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
