Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual

Voyager Technologies is a space, defense, and national security technology company developing mission-critical solutions for advanced aerospace and defense applications. This Senior Mechanical Engineer role focuses on lunar systems and reports to the Structures, Analysis, and Mechanism Manager within the Propulsion and Test Department in Mojave, California. Key responsibilities include leading a team of mechanical engineers responsible for primary and secondary structure design and mechanisms; coordinating day-to-day team tasks and ensuring adherence to tools, methods, and best practices; reviewing technical deliverables including CAD drawings, structural analysis, and test reports for compliance with standards; developing and executing comprehensive test plans and documenting results; creating designs, performing structural analysis, and developing test methodologies; managing vendor relationships to procure components while meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives; and presenting programmatic and technical content to stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Essential qualifications include demonstrated experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies, knowledge of analyzing components for harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic loading), and vendor management experience. A Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred, as is prior experience developing hardware and systems for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles. The position is hybrid/onsite based in Mojave, California, with up to 5% travel within the United States. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, move, or carry items up to 50 pounds.
