Mainspring Energy manufactures fuel-flexible, low-emissions local power solutions, delivering reliable and sustainable electric power. The company has shipped hundreds of megawatts of its Mainspring Linear Generators since 2020 and partners with Fortune 500 companies, data centers, utilities, and global energy leaders including AEP, NextEra Energy Resources, and Schneider Electric.
As a Senior Materials and Process Engineer, you will join a world-class engineering team focused on scaling production of the Linear Generator. The materials and process team works on complex development projects at the intersection of material properties, performance, and processing across diverse material types including non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, coatings, graphite, and polymers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop reliable, cost-effective materials solutions
- Manage existing materials solutions through validation testing
- Lead process development and deployment on actual parts and subassemblies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, Design, and Production
- Drive materials innovation that supports production scaling and performance optimization
