CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Material Planner to join its growing operations team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive material and supply chain plans that support new product development and manufacturing operations. You will work collaboratively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams on a daily basis to identify and implement supply chain improvements, troubleshoot production challenges, and optimize inventory management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining material plans that align with production schedules and product development timelines
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing to forecast demand and manage supplier relationships
- Identifying and driving supply chain improvements and cost optimization opportunities
- Providing direction and support in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
- Balancing desk-based planning work with hands-on production floor interaction
- Ensuring continuous, efficient manufacturing processes for satellite communications equipment
The ideal candidate brings experience in material planning, supply chain management, or production planning in a manufacturing or hardware environment. You should be comfortable working in a startup setting, thrive in dynamic environments, and have strong cross-functional collaboration skills. A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to support multiple teams is essential.
